My faux roman blinds are DONE!

 I finally finished up my faux roman blind project for my craft/guest room that I have been working on for the past 3 weeks! (It really doesn't take that long to make them....I just work on them a bit here, a bit there...that's just how I roll.)

 Sorry for the over exposed shots, but it's bright out today and I only have about 5 minutes before I have to screech outta here to pick up the kiddos.

And since its sunny and about 85 degrees out today, I will be spending the afternoon on my very neglected yard pulling out my thigh-high weeds.

So I will post the tutorial next week on how I made these! Just wanted to give y'all a sneak peak;)

 I also wanted to throw a conundrum I have for this room out there....

 

Does it need any words?! 

We have these babies in every room in.the.house. Not pretty. But, here in the south it gets VERY hot, and the ceiling fans save us a TON on our electric bill, and they seem to keep the upstairs rooms much cooler.

So, what to do? Do I get rid of it al together and risk this room getting too hot? (It's above the garage and does get very warm in the summer.) Do I replace? (Not really crazy about spending money for a new one.) Or is there any way to pretty it up? Is that possible?! Anyone have any thoughts/ideas?
