My interview with a 3 year old
Last Thursday was a special day in our house. Not only was it my birthday, it was also my son's 3rd birthday as well. I love sharing my birthday with this little man....every year, it's a great reminder to celebrate what's really important in life. It's not about the presents or the cake (although I will never turn cake & presents away!) it's about spending the day celebrating my greatest blessings of all....my family.
I thought it would be fun this year to ask Carson 25 questions on his birthday to get a little glimpse on what goes on inside his head! (You can see my comments to his answers in the parenthesis.)
My Interview with a 3 year old
- What is your favorite color? Ummm......white, and green!!
- What is your favorite toy? Wall-E toy. (funny, because we don't have any Wall-E toys.)
- What is your favorite thing to eat? Fruit & Granola (he NEVER eats ANY fruit! but does love granola)
- What is your favorite TV show? Scooby-Doo, Where are you?
- What is your favorite outfit to wear? My dinosaur shirt.
- Where do we live? In Mexico. (I wish!!)
- What are your favorite animals? Lions & Tigers!
- What does Mommy do for work? What?!? Clean.
- What does Daddy do for work? Gets money
- What is your favorite book? Dinosaur books
- What is your favorite thing to do outside? Play hockey
- Who is your best friend? Cole-y (awwww, brotherly love!)
- What do you want to be when you grow up? A big boy
- What's your favorite game to play? Mario
- What do you like to take to bed with you? Toys
- What's your favorite thing to do with Mommy? Clean up.
- What's your favorite thing to do with Daddy? Clean up with him. (we are really not clean freaks, I swear!)
- What's your favorite treat? Candy
- What is your favorite movie? Wall-E
- If you could go anywhere, where would you want to go? Right here. I want to stay in home:)
- What makes you happy? Anything makes me happy. (When he says anything, it always either means everything or nothing. I'm hoping he means everything!)
- What makes you sad? When someone takes toys away then I be sad and cry.
- What makes you scared? Monsters and rain.
- What is your favorite sport? Maddie & Jackson's game (He means the wii sports game that he played with the neighbors kids!)
- What's your favorite flavor of ice-cream? Chocolate! (he takes after his mom)
And of coarse the older brother was feeling left out, so I asked him the same questions too since I have never interviewed him.
My Interview with a 4 1/2 year old
- What is your favorite color? Orange, black & grey
- What is your favorite toy? My favorite toy is, um, that monster right there! (pointing to new toy monster)
- What is your favorite thing to eat? I like hot dogs and hamburgers.
- What is your favorite TV show? The Pup Scooby-Doo.
- What is your favorite outfit to wear? I like to wear my bomb angry bird shirt with my soccer pants. (interesting combo! And he wears that Angry Bird shirt all.the.time.)
- Where do we live? In tuckey. (close enough!)
- What are your favorite animals? Zebras & horses
- What does Mommy do for work? I think you put make-up on. (interesting answer!)
- What does Daddy do for work? He goes to work. That's his job.
- What is your favorite book? Wall-E books
- What is your favorite thing to do outside? To play basketball really hard.
- Who is your best friend? I don't know. Brayden?
- What do you want to be when you grow up? To get ready for when I grow up. (huh?)
- What's your favorite game to play? Sports wii
- What do you like to take to bed with you? Toys. Oh no,no,no,no. Not toys. My camera. (should I be worried?!)
- What's your favorite thing to do with Mommy? I like helping you to get ready. (I guess it takes me a long time to get ready, what with all the make-up I'm putting on and all!)
- What's your favorite thing to do with Daddy? I like going to work sometimes, with daddy.
- What's your favorite treat? Candy canes
- What is your favorite movie? My favorite movie is, I guess, um, The Incredibles!!
- If you could go anywhere, where would you want to go? The toy store.
- What makes you happy? To play games & watch TV.
- What makes you sad? Nothing.
- What makes you scared? Witches, ghosts & vampires. Halloween stuff. Spiders too, and even scary pumpkins!
- What is your favorite sport? Basketball
- What's your favorite flavor of ice-cream? Vanilla & banana
This was so fun to do! Their answers had me crackin' up! I think I will have to do this every year and put it in their scrapbook. How neat would it be to see how their answers change from year to year!
