Fun vintage finds

I had a few minutes to spare the other day, so I stopped by our local Antique Market to see if I could find any cool art or accessories for Carson's Room.  I didn’t find much, but snapped a few pics of some other fun finds!

 

Anyone remember these pull-down maps from elementary school?!? I wonder if they still use them? They would look so cool as wall art. Only $75 which really isn't a bad price for an oversized map.

Really pretty vintage tablecloths and linens. They would make cute pillows, or framed and used for oversized wall art.

 

A shout out to Kentucky Whiskey! Shouldn't it say Bourbon?!? They had lots of old Bourbon Barrels which would look really cool in a basement bar with a round glass top and castors on the bottom and used for a pub table.

Fun vintage comics. I saw these right as I had to leave to get the boys from School, so I didn't have time to riffle through them all. I will be stopping back in to  pick up a couple to frame as art in Carson’s Room. They were only $3-$10 each and so bright and colorful! Maybe I can find one with Dinosaurs on it :)

This was the only thing I did end up buying! It isn't old at all, in fact it’s brand new, but Carson loves Curious George and has a few of the nice, yellow hard cover books already in his room, so I thought this would be a nice addition to his collection for only $4.

I ordered a few accessories and shelves for his room the other day, and I hope to start sewing some pillows today. Slowly but surely, this room will be DONE! Soon. I hope:)
