Happenings Lately...August Recap

August was a pretty busy month for me over here, so I thought I would give you a quick Instagram update to fill you in on all the action, both on and behind the scenes!

 My oldest started Kindergarten in the middle of the month! He was so excited and couldn't wait to hop on that big yellow school bus. And even though I was so excited for him to start this new chapter, I have to admit, my heart sunk into my stomach the moment that bus pulled away. 

My youngest has been home with me for the past few weeks since his preschool didn't start until today! He is starting a new school this year too, and has been counting the days until he could go to school like his big brother.

I'm still trying to figure out a chore/errand/working schedule that works around the boys being in school smack dab in the middle of the day, but I think I'll be getting back into the regular blogging grove again fairly soon! Let's hope:)

In blogging news, I shared a big announcement about a new and exciting opportunity for me!

I also let you in on an e-design project I completed for clients over the summer.

I talked about the latest trend in Interior Design, Malachite.

And I showed you how to quickly and easily update any lampshade.

Stick around for September as I will be showing you an inexpensive homework station I created for my sons room. I also will be talking about the latest fall trends, and my goal this month is to FINALLY reveal the bathroom makeover. I only have a few little finishing touches to do that I have been putting off for months now, so I want to power through and cross that room off my list!! What are your big plans for September?
