Designing the Perfect Playroom

I LOVE designing kids rooms. My sons bedroom was probably my favorite project to date because in kids spaces you can be creative, carefree and playful! You can let your imagination run wild, and even get the kids involved in the design process! It's so much fun to hear their  ideas for their spaces, and you will be amazed at how they can inspire you.

We have playroom on the second floor of our house that I can sadly say I have never decorated. Sure it has furniture and storage and stuff, but it's not a super fun space to be in, so for this months mood-board, I was inspired to dream up an idea for a boys playroom. I wanted it to be a fun space that catered to 1st grade boys, but mature enough that the room would grow with them. And I'm totally loving the woodland feel right now, so this lodge themed playroom is a bit more of a grown-up version of that!
