When I hear the word "macrame" I immediately have flashbacks to my house when I was a kid. We had this huge macrame wall hanging above our couch, strung on a an old branch in different shades of browns and tans with orange beads strung throughout. And the plant hangers! I swear we had one in every room.

Macrame is having a comeback, big time. Maybe its because of the recent bohemian trend, or because it has such an authentic handmade feel to it, or maybe it's just time for the trend to resurface, but whatever the reason, this hand knotted textile is everywhere.
